How-to-make your Own Video

Jarvis Emerald

And... Action!

You’ve seen the film. Play the game.

They make some ghastly decisions. Some so-so ones. And some good ones. Now...

Make Your Own Movie. And Make the Story Turn Out Better!

To find out how to make the movie, watch Jarvis with How to make your own video.

Let me ask you...
Did you see anybody get into trouble? Of course. Did you see anybody getting messed up by somebody else’s behavior?

What was the problem? When was Felicity at risk? Of what? Did she stay in danger or get out of it? What about the others?

What changed when you took alternate paths? What went wrong? What worked?

What could they have done differently? What could Felicity do that would keep her from being messed up by someone else’s actions, suggestions, values... whatever? What choices could the characters have made that would improve the situation?

Change the Action.

What would you do differently? Change the ending. That’s your content.

Make Your Own Movie. And Make it Turn Out Better!

Create a new short scene for the movie, about one or two minutes long.

Show your choice changing the action from the original. Think outside the box. But keep it real. These characters are who they are, and they aren’t going to magically change into someone else. If you see that he’s a nasty piece of work, or she’s a... whatever... then that’s who s/he is. Work with the traits they’ve got.

Remember you’re making it better.

Then film it.

Watch Jarvis. He’ll Show You How You Can Make Your Own Movie and Submit It.

In your film, before you present your scene, briefly name the strategy (this is the title). Then present your scene. After your scene, you can briefly tell the audience if your intervention worked and why / why not.

It doesn’t matter if your intervention solves the problem or not. It’s worth trying the idea to see if it will. And believe me, we learn things if they don’t work, just as much as if they do.

Submit Your Own Ending

  • Upload your intervention on YouTube. You can do edits there too. Jarvis tells you how to do this. (So does YouTube)

  • Send us an email notice with the link to your YouTube movie to action@sheatre.com. Title your email: ACTION by Your Name. In your email, please name the original scene to which you’re changing the action. Additional comments are welcome.

  • Submissions selected by us will be posted on this website. We’re looking for a good idea, an original story told clearly and well.
    * See the note below. You may submit more than once.

  • Come back to the website. View the scenes that are posted. Selections may change. ‘Like’ the ones you like.

  • Note: Sheatre will only post selections that do not contain any excessive violence, any sexual violence, any sexual exploitation, any hate propaganda, or any otherwise objectionable content. This is open only to individuals or groups who submit personally created original content (including all text, images, video and music).
